FLORENCE
DAYS 10 - 11
Of course one of our main stops was the famous and impressive Renaissance sculpture of David by Italian artist Michelangelo, sculpted over 500 years ago. While there were other beautiful works of art in this gallery, it was definitely easy to find your way to great statue of David.

With our afternoon free, we adventured to the Boboli gardens. Although the day was quite hot and an air conditioned venue would have been more refreshing, we meandered the grounds taking in the sights. We paused at the top of the garden and as we peeked through he bushes we took in a beautiful scenic view of Florence.
The Ponte Vecchio bridge that you see in the distance, crossing over the Arno River, is still home to many shops with your fill of cute trinkets. It is a nice area to stroll through and spend some time.

It was customary to see many flowers surrounding the square. This was one day just to stroll the streets and take in whatever suited you that day. What a pleasant day to have a nice dinner, enjoy the scenic river and enjoy the company of new friends.
