BEAUNE
DAY 18
Our time here in Beaune, the wine capital, was short. We took a tour of the town including the Hotel-Dieu Museum, which showcased "The Last Judgement" piece of art.
Today was also a very bittersweet day for us as it was the last night with our driver, Richard. We don't say goodbye, we say "see you later".

At our cute hotel, there was a wine cellar below. Here they taught us how to properly "slurp" wine, swish it around, proper head tilting and leaning, all in order to get the perfect amount of oxidation with the wine resulting in the best taste. We used these little cups that we also got to keep as souvenirs.
As the darkness began to cover the town, the street lamps turned on. We were told there was a light show happening in the little church not far from our hotel. Many of us waited patiently and watched the best show as it illuminated the church with many different scenes.
