This was our first Rick Steves' tour and will definitely not be our last.

Let me take you on our adventure of 12 cities in 6 different countries with 29 new friends and thousands of wonderful memories.

At some point in our lives we are all told, "Live your life to the fullest.” I am here to do just that.

Rick Steves' Best of Europe Tour serves as a vessel to pursue my passion for adventure, meet new people, and explore another corner of the world. So sit back, relax, and read on.

HOW WE DECIDED WE COULD NOT MISS THIS TOUR

Prior to this trip, our family had enjoyed traditional but shorter vacations, yet here we were about to be traveling through Europe for nearly a month! When we were planning our European vacation we carefully reviewed our various travel options and ultimately selected this 21 day overview of Europe through Rick Steves. This trip did not disappoint! I repeat, it did NOT disappoint!!

I will share with you that the underlying decision to take this phenomenal trip was, unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances. You see, I lost my dad very suddenly this past November. My mom and brother and I needed a distraction from our huge, monumental loss and we needed to spend time together as a new family of three. I hope my experience will encourage you to take photos and videos, but remember to put down the phone and truly be in the moment every second of your trip because this is a trip you will reminisce about for the rest of your life.

This propelled us to embark on this family journey together and explore many of the wonders Europe has to offer. Take it from me and my family, prepare for the future, but live for today because tomorrow is never promised.

That being said, I highly encourage you to put this great trip on your "ASAP to-do list!"

LIFE IS PRECIOUS, BUT AT TIMES TOO SHORT

We were a family of four that suddenly and unexpectedly became a family of three literally overnight, much sooner than anyone could have ever imagined.

You Only Live Once, and tomorrow is not promised. With that in mind, we came to the conclusion that NOW was the time to take a family vacation and create memories that would last a lifetime. Though only three of us together, we form an equilateral unit.
